Broadway Plan Update
The Broadway Plan seeks to add over 50,000 new residents and 42,000 jobs by providing additional height and density for purpose-built rental buildings and office buildings. The Broadway Corridor is already the second largest employment center in British Columbia after the Downtown Core.
All levels of government are keen to see the area grow and benefit from the investment in infrastructure. It is estimated that these targets will be met over the next 30 years which will help ensure continued growth in Vancouver. The Broadway Line is expected to be completed by 2025 with an estimated daily boarding of 130,000.
